OK. Let’s put this in perspective. This young man got Govt paid education, propably govt medical care, used someone else’s SSN, (or made up a phony number), got a drivers license by fraud (or bought a forged license), and took a job, ($35,000 a year) that a legal resident or a U.S. citizen his same age was deprived of. His parents commited the crime of illgally entering this country, but he perpetuated it when he came of age and knew of his illegal status by committing identity theft (SSN) and fraud (drivers license.

He can not cry now about the unfairness of the law. He had plenty of time to make the right choices. He could have sought legal assistance to change his status. Since he did not, and unfortunately (for him), got caught, he now has to pay the piper.

Your argument that his family came here to make a better life and to feed their family does not make the crime of illegal entry go away. If that was the case, then everybody that has ever been convicted of shoplifting food from a grocery store in order to put food on the table should have their convictions overturned.

You can have pity for the person, but you can not, in a civilized society, allow someone to steal monies and opportunities from our own citizens just because they wanted to have a better life here than they had in their own country. To do such is to open the flood gates with no way to ever close them again.

He is the kind of citizen that does THIS country credit. But, I guess Mexicans just are no good. Whatever.

First, he is NOT a citizen - he is an illegal alien. And the type of citizen we need is NOT one that first breaks our laws and has no respect for this country. There are millions around the world that we DO need - they are filing their paperwork, paying their fees, playing by the rules, and waiting their turn.

And of course, you have to use race! Race has nothing to do with it - ILLEGAL does. I don't care if Salvador was Norwegian. If he's here illegally, he needs to be sent back.

Next he'll say that the kid's sister or aunt is a neurosurgeon and his cousin is a corporate attorney. I've seen that posted by (supposed) illegals. "All we want to do is come work at an extremely high skilled job". Yeah, right. Anyone with that kid of education can make it back home OR move to just about any country legally and doesn't need to sneak into this country.
