No ID? No problemo! Mex to deliver badges

The Mexican Consulate in Texas, which has been at war with Irving city officials over their crackdown on illegal aliens, says it now wants to send mobile units into the city to deliver identification cards to try to save the illegals from arrest.

"If they have the card, their chances of not being arrested would improve dramatically," Consul Enrique Hubbard Urrea told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

He said if police are provided information about a person's identification, they often can just issue a citation, but if there's no ID, suspects more likely are arrested.

Irving Mayor Herbert Gears told the newspaper the ID cards probably wouldn't make that much difference in the city's crackdown. But he did say he would meet periodically with Urrea to review any complaints over the city's Criminal Alien Program.

"Nothing has been changed in regards to police policy and procedure," he told the newspaper.

City residents have been raising complaints about illegal aliens in their city for some time. At the beginning of 2007, a petition with 800 signatures was submitted to the city in support of citizen demands that illegal immigrants who commit crimes be monitored more closely.

The city's effort identifies suspected illegal immigrants in the city's jail and refers them to federal authorities for a review of their immigration status, and consideration for deportation.

Authorities report more than 1,600 illegal aliens, mostly Mexicans, have been handed over the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement in a little over a year.

Why don’t the Mexicans just WHIP out their Mexican Passport, and show the officials a valid VISA, and that they are in the country, THAT should satisfy the IRVING police. Is there any other CORRECT way to perform due process?

Of the hundreds arrested and turned over, "many of these individuals have been arrested for serious crimes including homicide, sexual assault, indecency, endangering a child or driving while intoxicated," the city said. "If they were in the United States illegally, these criminals were ordered deported by federal officials, removing them as a threat to Irving."

Errrr, putting them in prison for their "serious crimes" will also remove them as a threat to Irving. They should only be given to ICE for case disposition AFTER they have served their Texas prison time.

Actually, that’s what Irving is doing for those who committed felonies - as I understand it.

With misdemeanors, why bother making the taxpayer foot the bill for their brief incarcerations? Just deport them quickly; it’s cheaper.

You know folks, it occurs to me that perhaps we should start petitioning the Mexican government for relief on issues of merit. Since they’re now in charge of the governing the United States, I believe that would be appropriate.

Washington, D.C., the pimp leaders that frequent the halls of our Congress and the White House should just go home. Since you have abdicated your powers, you’re not needed any longer.

Mexico City is now our seat of governance.

Evidently!

In every Amnesty bill proposed this year, official U.S. identification documents and immigrant status are issued solely on the alien's assertion of name, birthdate, and nationality. There is no verification of any kind regarding actual identity or "home country" criminal status. This egregious disregard for America's national and law enforcement security opens the doors to Pedro the Salvadorean heroin dealer, Boris the Ukranian brothel owner, and Wan Chu the Chinese intelligence agent. Simply assert that you're an illegal alien and - assuming no U.S. or Interpol fingerprints exist - you have just gained a brand spanking new United States identity, solely on the basis of your willingness to lie.

So let me get this straight, if I go to vacation in Mexico, I have to now apply for a passport. But if I’m a Mexican I can break into the country illegally and have the Mexico consulate give its seal of approval by issuing me a ID card? If I was a Irving cop, the second I saw one, I would arrest the bastard holding it!

By George, I think you’ve got it!

When my wive renewed her Texas DL recently, a lot of young Hispanic males were there to get ID cards.

Sure, let the Mexican govt administer the illegal invaders in their new colony. As long as Uncle Sap pays for them!

U.S. Constitution, Article 4 Section 4:

"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government,

and shall protect each of them against Invasion;"

Invasion: \In*va"sion\, n. [L. invasio: cf. F. invasion. See Invade.] [1913 Webster]

1. The act of invading; the act of encroaching upon the rights or possessions of another; encroachment; trespass.

Yep, give the both licenses.

In fact, give them as many licenses as they want, in any names they make up.

I was reading Caesar Milan’s book. He’s that Dog Whisperer guy on the National Geographic Channel. He was an illegal alien: he slipped across the border at Tijuana after paying his only savings of $100 to a coyote.

Caesar is now a legal resident, but he says the problem isn't getting permission from the US to come in, but the problem is that a Mexican cannot get a visa from his own government without a whole lot of bribes. He had no chance of raising the bribe money to pay the Mexican government while living in Mexico. He raised the cash in California pretty quickly grooming dogs.

I still think we have to stop illegal entry into our country, but I had never considered the root of the problem is the corruption within the Mexican government.
