It would be interesting to see a study of the costs of uninsured emergency room visits versus the costs of Democratic Party trial lawyer's malpractice awards. I would venture a guess that an occasional $100 plaster cast can't compare to the costs of John Edward's mansion's bathroom's marble, which represents the spiraling costs of malpractice insurance in a society badly needing tort reform.
