Clinton Returned $7,000, Campaign Says (Chinese Money)
New York Times ^ | October 20, 2007 | PATRICK HEALY

Posted on 10/20/2007 7:00:21 AM PDT by Presbyterian Reporter

Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s presidential campaign returned $7,000 in donations last spring that were linked to a fund-raising event in Chinatown in New York City, campaign officials said yesterday, acknowledging another instance where questionable donors came into Mrs. Clinton’s political orbit.

unlike Mrs. Clinton’s trouble with the former fund-raiser Norman Hsu — whose extensive legal problems and dubious fund-raising practices came as a surprise — her campaign identified the concerns about the Chinatown fund-raising on its own, campaign officials said.

The Los Angeles Times reported yesterday that it had reviewed the cases of more than 150 donors apparently linked to the Chinatown event or to Chinese neighborhoods, and that dozens of donors could not be found, were not registered to vote or held jobs that probably did not pay well enough to finance such donations.

The Clinton campaign said that after the Chinatown fund-raiser in April, which raised about $380,000, aides conducted a standard review of the donor list: If donors’ stated professions seemed out of line with their donations — for instance, if a dishwasher gave $1,000 — the campaign sent letters asking them to affirm in writing that the money was their own.

In seven cases, with donations totaling $7,000, questions were raised, and those donors did not respond to requests to confirm their contributions. That money was then returned.

Clinton campaign officials said yesterday that they would look at any new information that suggested problematic fund-raising. But they defended their efforts to recruit Asian donors aggressively, and stood by the Chinatown fund-raiser.

“Asian-Americans in Chinatown and Flushing have the same right to contribute as every other American,” said Howard Wolfson, a campaign spokesman.

I have reviewed the Hillary Clinton refund list that was filed on Oct 15. I could only find one person in the NY Chinatown zipcode that received a refund not related to the Hsu scandal and that was for $1000. Where are the other refunds?

This article is a real crock. Undoubtedly fed to sympathetic Times reporter by the Clinton campaign.

Even if the Clintonoids were telling the truth (which they aren’t), $7K out of $380K is trivial—a mere token. Besides, the Clintons should be asked why there this deluge of Chinese money pouring into their coffers in the first place.

And not a single reporter (donor) will have the balls to question her about it. She’s above the law and we better get used to it. After all, she will be our next president. It’s already decided. The ballots are already counted and waiting to be finalized.

“the Clintons should be asked why there this deluge of Chinese money pouring into their coffers in the first place.”

The answer is, Sandy Berger, sometime China trade lobbyist.

What was that Lanny Davis always said about the Clinton scandals, and there being no proof of their doing wrong? There appears to be even less proof of their doing right.

Where are the other refunds?

And to where or to whom do you return money when the original donor does not exist or cannot be found?

Or is it enough simply to say you are returning the money?

“The ballots are already counted and waiting to be finalized.”

One thing we know for certain, if the ballots don’t end up with a win for the Antichrist, it’ll be because the election was fraudulent.

Yeah, right.(/S) This convicted and wanted felon was hardly Richard Kimbal. He was rubbing shoulders with major office holders. Someone was protecting him, and a major investigation should be underway...

“the Clintons should be asked why there this deluge of Chinese money pouring into their coffers in the first place.”

This money is Red Chinese money. Cooks and bottle washers and illegal aliens do not give thousands of dollars to political campaigns. This is influence buying. Money does not buy influence unless the recipient knows who actually fronted the money to those cooks and bottle washers and illegal aliens. Hillary knows damn good and well it is the Red Chinese. The same ones (Peoples Liberation Army) that were behind the massive donations to Bill Clinton when he ran for President.

The Communist China bought Bill Clinton and Hillary long ago. They are just making sure they stay bought.

She is a dangerous woman, a quasi if not actual Marxist, she is not a patriot and is totally corrupt.

The clintons have a great Chinese Laundry business going. You bring in $10.00 and in one hour it’s turned in to nice, crisp $1000.00 untraceable “donation”.

Where’s the investigation of all the Clintoon’s “room temperature” associates? The explanation(s) for that would make for an interesting story . Corruption and enough deceased associates to fill a cemetery is a great resume for any Liberal!
