Islam and the Textbooks

- Editor’s Note: In Part One, we discussed how the American Textbook Council compared the content of seven widely adopted world history textbooks to determine how Islam was being studied in our schools. What the comparison revealed were content distortions and inaccuracies that have not occurred by accident. Here is what the textbooks say.

What the Textbooks Say

The coverage of Islam in world history textbooks has expanded and in some respects improved, offering students a detailed look at the Muslim world through the centuries, one that explains its origins and tenets, including the difference between the Sunni and Shiite sects, and one that dwells on the splendors of Islamic art and architecture, learning and science, medicine and knowledge through the ages. But on significant Islam-related subjects, textbooks omit, flatter, embellish, and resort to happy talk, suspending criticism or harsh judgments that would raise provocative or even alarming questions.

Islam is a religious cult. Why is this a subject in ANY textbook in America? (separation of Church and State)

Additionally, why are school administrators setting up prayer rooms in schools for Muslim children ?

Furthermore, why are Muslim children allowed to wear burkas to public school? (Several years ago, a teacher's aid in Pennsylvania was fired for wearing a cross necklace.)

PUHLEEZE... Your argument for separation of church and state has nothing to do with information contained in public school textbooks. First, the notion of separation of church and state developed solely to preclude the Federal government from establishing and sanctioning a state sponsored religion over any others. Second, there is absolutely NO mandate in the US Constitution that authorizes the federal government to be in the education business. Education was accepted by the founders to be a local issue, at most a State issue...certainly NOT a federal issue. The insidious, creeping, slimey advance of liberalism has usurped much of what the founders had in mind at the creation of this grand experiment, unfortunately. And, equally unfortunately, many (like yourself) have come to accept the rot that’s been served up to the public by these cretins over the past 150 years or so.
For my part...get the Feds out of education (abolish the Department of Education), recognize Islam for the sham it is, and let’s get this WOT finished up and won.

Islam is the political system of rule by a dead warlord.

Is Nazism taught as an IDEOLOGY or just certain components in public schools?

Genghis Khan and others’ faiths are not represented in history lessons.

I remember studying the Islamic world two years ago in my HS world history class. Basically, all we learned was Mohammed was this guy born in ?632 who supposedly saved the Arab peninsula from its corruption by founding Islam, jihad means “holy war,” and the Arabs invented the zero. No mention of Lepanto, the Ottoman conquests, the fact that the zero may have come from India, or any of the Muslims’ radical and destructive acts against the West. It was all made to sound like Islam was just another religion and wasn’t a threat.

Riiiiiight

You said, "there is absolutely NO mandate in the US Constitution that authorizes the federal government to be in the education business."

Supreme Court abolished "prayer" in schools. That is, prayers that were approved by the Schools boards in each community. Supreme Court trumped those communities.

Liberal Democrats go out of their way to either get or try to get every Christian symbol (think Nativity Scenes, 10 Commandment Plaques, etc.) out of society.

Public school children will be indoctrinated to Islam by teaching about this cult in their textbooks. Why isn't Catholicism, Judism, Buddism, Hinduism covered too?

Why is "Under God" so offensive to liberal Democrats in the Pledge of Allegiance.

And, finally, why was this even contemplated: Barack Obama wanted to replace the Bible with the Koran for his pledge to obey American laws????????

In some ways, I can't wait for Islam to get a half-nelson around the necks of liberal Demcrats because then they will finall shut the f**k up!!!

Islam is fascism with a twisted religious veneer.

All mosques and "islamic learning centers" in the United States are built, financed and maintained by the Saudi government (with the profits from Western oil purchases).

Can anyone imagine giving the Nazis or Imperial Japan carte blanche to establish, maintain and promote propaganda networks within the United States between 1930 and 1945?

Islam is a religious cult.

It's far more than a cult.

True, Islam had a “golden age”, about the time that Europe was plunged into the Dark Ages. But that ended about a thousand years ago, and no islamic has accomplished anything of note since that time.

I just want to point out that it was Keith Ellison of Minnesota who wanted to take the Congressional oath of office on the Koran, NOT Barack Obama.

I think that it's important to be more exact about this observation, since I am convinced that some muslims have accomplished many notable things, just not in any officially muslim countries, like this moronic group.

Member countries

At that page, clicking on "About OIC", then clicking on "Members" will reveal all the progressive, modern states embracing islam as their official national law, both secular and religious.

Once that is recognized, the cause of the worldwide cancer becomes quite clear.

An Arabic verbal noun derived from jahada (“to struggle”). Although “holy war” is not a literal translation, it summarizes the essential idea of jihad. In the course of the revival of Islamic fundamentalism, the doctrine of jihad has been invoked to justify resistance, including terrorist actions, to combat “un-Islamic” regimes, or perceived external enemies of Islam, such as Israel and the United States.

Mein Kampf (English translation: My Struggle) is a book by the German-Austrian politician Adolf Hitler ...(Wikipedia artlcle on Mein Kampf)

Deja vu all over again.
