I remember years ago when the word ‘diverse’ first came to light and was being pushed by the US government. At the time I thought how close that word was to the word ‘divide’, and that has come to pass through multiculturalism. In my youth I was taught that it was better to place importance on how much we as human beings have in common rather than the stressing the differences.
I recall back in 9th grade geography class the introduction of “ethnocentricism” into the curiculuum. This was the early ‘70s and the beginning of multicuralism indoctrination.
