Where in the hell is common sense?

We suspend a 7 year old for a picture here in New Jersey and we’re dispensing (without parental notification or consent) birth control to 11 year olds in Maine.

I thank the good Lord that my Mother is not here to worry over this.

And the stupidity continues. How long before parents get tired of this crap and the (lack of) education their children are receiving in the government indoctrination centers and take back our schools??

My guess? H$ll will freeze first before parents act like parents and take back the schools!

How do we, as citizens, put an end to this unbelievable nonsense?

Easy. We either take back our schools or take back our kids. Being of the "doesn't play well with others" variety, I took back my kid. To start a decent thread drift, how about some really good reasons to NOT homeschool one's kids. Anybody? Bueller?

So wearing a gun to school is still ok as long as you don’t draw it ?

Don’t vote for the idiots at a federal, state, and local level who either created these policies directly or by hiring and turning a blind eye to egghead underlings who created these policies. We have control over who our public officials are! We put in mayors. We put in legislators. We put in school boards!

Here is one of many problems. The zero tolerance rhetoric that was popular post Columbine was aimed to assuage dupes. Zero tolerance is a stupid policy that does nothing to distinguish between Dylan Klebolds and your average seven year old kid drawing a cowboys and indians fight.

Sure glad I’m long gone from public school and have no kids to send there. I went to 2 different high schools in 2 different states and remember soda machines, smoking areas (yes, school sanctioned) a buck knife on my belt, and a shotgun and rifle in a rack in the back window of my pickup.

They'd throw me in jail for some of the things I drew as a kid if this is worthy

I'd probably still have to be a registered sex offender for some of the stuff I drew as a kid...

If the kid had made a paper airplane out of his drawing, he would have been accused of possession of a deadly weapon.

They need to be teaching gun safety and the Constitution in our public schools. Begin at the same age as sex education.

Well at least they did not arrest him. That’s a couple of years down the road, I’d say.

Armed revolution?

Closer than most folks think. I never heard a word about such a thing outside of private "what if" conversations in speculative context with buddies in the Guard.

Now, within the past 5 months I have heard of fully armed open revolt being discussed as a very realistic end result of current events on mainstream commercial radio and TV no less, at least four times.

This is not some 3am pirate radio mind you. This is major metroplex afternoon radio shows from long term law abiding pillar of the community HOSTS, not guests. And the TV show? Glen Beck no less.
