Maybe Jones knows a lot more than you do about conservative politics. Just a thought.

Notice Mohler's mention of the timing and how the race might shape up. My reading is that Mohler was indicating that Fred might pick up his numbers and fundraising considerably, making him the better pick for the Religious Right since he doesn't have some of Mitt's baggage (MA AWB, some past statements that aren't so pleasing to Christians, etc.).

Mohler was indicating that it was a little early for Jones and others to commit to Mitt, that it might have been wiser to wait a month to see how Fred's numbers, campaign and fundraising is doing. Of course, that's the Baptist spin on this (same opinion I've had as a Baptist). But the indie fundies and conservative evangelicals seem ready to place their bets now. It seems a little early to me but they may simply recognize that if they're to place any sort of decisive support behind a candidate, they need to play kingmaker now and that Romney's Mormonism may take some extra effort to sell to their circle of influence.

..maybe he doesn't--there is a lot more than politics at stake here

Jones, and whoever else comes out in future days apparently aren't able to use YouTube--they need to do their homework on this man

And I don't require any Baptist explanation on anything, thanks...
