Just wondering wny Mitch Landrieu did not run for governor this time. Was he humiliated after losing for N.O. mayor?
I believe that was it. The reason he won was because Landrieau was the incumbent and the Lt. Governor’s job is mostly a symbolic position, where the main job is tourism. Of course, that person would assume the governorship if the governor was to die or not able to complete his term. But the voters were not really concentrating on that election, and had no gripes with him. The movie industry is booming down here. I didn’t vote for him.
