We've heard from Alan Keyes before. The last time was in 2000. Nothings changed. Keyes remains a non entity. His candidacy is weak and his campaign is a total joke. What a waste of time and effort.
Was Fred that bad ?
Who stood out to you as an acceptable alternative given their presentation ?
Here is an article from the Orlando Sentinel that somewhat describes the dismay of his supporters at his short (4 min. 37 sec) speech.
This seems to confirm our two Freeper first hand reports.

I wonder if the campaign is aware of how Fred came across at this event ? It sure doesn’t sound good .
Thompson campaign spokesman Jeff Sadosky said the candidate was simply keeping his remarks "quick and upbeat" and that nothing was wrong. He said Thompson was following the guidelines set down by the Republican Party of Florida.
I am sure they are hoping for a good performance tonight, so that this story fades.
Avanti. Raymond Lowe.
That's true. That's why a possible third party candidate is an inviting picture.
That's not going to happen if the Party nominates a "moderate", aka RINO. The rank and file is conservative, especially the grassroots activists. Nominate a RINO, and while they may not stay home on election day, they will not be out there on the hustings for him in nearly the numbers they will be for a true Constitutional Conservative.
International Drive, my favorite! Thanks for the ping.
I think the Dems push him for the same reason. I don't they'd find him acceptable. Although they like his previous anti-RKBA efforts and pro-abortion stand, he's too anti-criminal and MUCH too strong on the War on Terror. They are the party of surrender, and treason, have been since the 60s.
“Was Fred that bad ?”
Fred left everyone in shock. Seemed if you blinked you missed him. The people around me looked at each other confused....disappointed....shocked. Not a good showing, to say the least.
We happened to be at the top of the stairs when Fred and wife Jeri were making their staircase entrance to Thompson's reception. After shaking hesitant Fred's hand, Jeri went out of her way to greet me. After Fred spoke to the crowd for a few minutes, he left his reception rather quickly. Jeri Thompson stayed at the reception for quite some time meeting and greeting.
This is much more Jeri Thompson's campaign than it is her husband's.
“Was Fred that bad”
I heard some reports that he was just as disappointing in the greeting rooms.
I am trying to get the word out. It really is a dis-service to all conservatism to tout a lackluster candidate, Bob Dole reloaded. Sorry Bob, you were never that bad.
