Maybe they can recruit some scabs from elementary schools since that seems to be about the level at which TV writers function.

I say that if the writer’s union goes on strike then we should form a viewer’s union and go on strike indefinitely.

How many writers does Hollywood need to write their reality series? Hell that's mostly what they put out now. Heh.
And I am pretty sure I could throw a rock out a window and hit something that could effectively write a remake of a TV show, or a movie, or a movie about a TV show.

PLEASE strike.
The endless faucet of crap being turned off might actually motivate some people to turn off the idiot box or at least check out something of educational value.

It’s very sad when so many communists are put out of work.

Does this mean they can’t print their own picket signs?
Or do they pay scabs to do it for them? Quite the dilemma.

I heard on the radio that, if the writers went on strike, many shows would stop production immediately, e.g....THE VIEW.
Writers? So all that “controversial” garbage from Rosie was scripted??? Say it ain’t so, Joe!!!

I sure can live with Hollywood indefinitely! I relish the opportunity to prove this! I hope that most of the rest of the country does as well. We all would be better off if Hollywood in its entirety would go away for 5 or 10 years at least. The IQ level of the country would go up at least 20%.

Sorry! I meant to say I can live WITHOUT Hollywood indefinitely. I guess it’s late.

this is meaningless
They are just authorizing the union bosses to call a strike.
it's SOP during contract negotiation. This is just saber rattling for the bargaining table

That's cool. My wife won't watch regular American TV dramas anyways unless we're watching on DVD to skip the incessant commercials.
She's always into the Spanish soap opras anyways, and I encourage it heartily. The women are GORGEOUS...
And now she's into the Indian dramas.
LAAGA YASH RAJ MEIN EK AUR DAAG!
And the Indian women are just as gorgeous as the Latina women. It's just that I can't understand a word that they're saying...but I forgive them! All of them... = p
We've been watching all of our TV series via DVD for years, or by DVR. We're going to start with our first episode of "Seinfeld" soon.
I suspect this isn't going to have as much impact as these union folks hope.

In other words - instead of new crap on TV, the schedule will be filled with REPEATS of crap on TV.... wonderful. Another excuse to not even turn it on.
