I think deals are being cut right now among the biggies like McCain, Rudy G, and Romney.
Huckabee lurks in the wings, too.
The only way practically to stop Giuliani right now would be voting for Romney in early states.
That's not a pleasant set of choices.
Only a high profile candidate can change this outcome.
Hence my suggestion.

"The higher profile ones all have liberal skeletons in their closet and the ability to modify conservatism on a dime. They will run to the middle and govern there, you can be sure. That includes the long-time Washington lobbyist who refused to vote guilty on the impeachment of Bill Clinton. Do you know his name? Fred Thompson." You, sir or madam, are a liar: http://www.australianpolitics.com/usa/clinton/trial/statements/thompson.shtml

Hmmm...give up a life time appointment in a very critical position for conservatives, for the “chance” to be elected for a 4 or possibly 8 year office. The man practically didn’t make it to the SC because of a smear campaign.

Thomas is a great Supreme Court Justice, but I’m not sure he has the natural charisma or the intensity to make a run for the White House.
To: Nextrush
Hey, that would be awesome! I’d vote for him.
But I don’t think he wants the job. He’d be insane to.
Come to think of it, that’s pretty much the problem with people who want to be President.

Nice rapid response on that impeachment lie. Keep up the good work.

I can’t let this trash stand there as if it’s true. If we don’t refute it, many here will believe it!

I like Thomas right where he is. Kudos for thinking outside the box, though.

Just picked up Clarence Thomas's book, My Grandfather's Son, yesterday.
A delightful, and inspirational read.

Excellent, I saw Justice Thomas on 60 Minutes a few weeks back. The man is impressive.

Then exactly what was Ann Coulter saying in her column regarding Thompson and Huckabee.
She wrote: “In 1999, Sen. Fred Thompson joined legal giants like Sens. Jim Jeffords, Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins to vote against removing Bill Clinton from office for perjury.”

I really like this idea. It isn’t practical and he wouldn’t do it, but I do like it!

I am not so sure he would be effective. He is much better on the Supreme Court.

I've always been a big admirer of the Honorable Clarence Thomas. He sticks to his guns, and has a great intellect.
It will be interesting to read his take on the nomination process, where he was savaged by democrats.
Funny how the dems point out that the politics of personal distruction is harmful to America; but they perfected it, and continue to do it daily.
