A wildfire driven by powerful winds in the Malibu Hills this morning threatened a university, destroyed at least one home and forced the evacuation of hundreds more, authorities said.

I'm sorry. I did realize this sort of local problem now is considered a national disaster by the hand wringing brigade.

When the next tornado touches down in the Midwest and “destroys at least one home” I’ll gloat about the fact that it happened to people who aren’t me and therefore deserved it.
