Putin Demands U.S. Withdrawal from Iraq
salem-news.com ^ | Oct-18-2007 | Tim King

(MOSCOW, Russia) - Tensions between the United States and Russia appear to be souring by the day, and now Russian President Vladimir Putin says the American presence in Iraq needs to end, now.

Bush's sometimes friend who he claims to speak very frankly with, seems to have reached the end of the line in his support of U.S. policy in Iraq and over the administration's stance toward Iran.

Tensions have continued to rise in spite of what initially appeared to be good relations between the two world powers. But when Putin took to the national airwaves in Russia, addressing common citizens, Putin called the war in Iraq a "dead end," calling on Washington to set a deadline for the removal of all troops.

The Soviet war in Afghanistan during the 1980's has ofgten been called "Russia's Vietnam." Now it appears that the United States is fighting "Russia's Afghanistan" which ended in a defeat of Russian forces and complete pullout.

Putin says Iraq was invaded by the United States because of its oil wealth. Putin told people there during the telecast that they will not suffer the same fate.

The comments from Putin were quickly answered by the White House, which insists progress in Iraq is being made.

But Iraq is not the only thing this off and on ally of Bush criticized; saying that Washington's hard line position on Iran's nuclear power programme, saying Moscow's insistence on negotiations was better than "threats, sanctions or even force."

Putin also suggested that Russia is building another nuclear submarine and a "completely new" atomic weapon. It seems the cold war could be headed toward a complete revival over rogue U.S. policy on war that has left parts of the world in shambles.

Putin also met with Israel's Prime Minister, Ehud Olmert, to discuss the Irania nuclear program that is backed by Russia. Putin's historic visit to Tehran this week marks the first visit of a major world power leader to the country since the 1940's.

Putin and Pelosi, new best friends

Our enemies want us out of Iraq and so does our Congress. Something’s not right here...

Rhetoric since the Syrian antiair system failed completely has ratcheted up. If the defense isn’t working, that leaves only the offense.

No surprise.

An ex head of USSR's KGB agrees with and parrots the talking points of the Politburo of the U.S. Communist Party, i.e.; Pelosi and her 'Progressive' Democrat minions in the House.

This is really a dog bites man story.

In retrospect, the stupidest thing ever out of W’s mouth was his “soul” comment about Putin.

That said, I think the recent total emasculation of a brand-new Russian air defense system in Syria has terrified and unhinged Putin.

Oh, and speaking of withdrawals, Russia needs to leave the G8 immediately. Per the group’s charter, the G8 is for democracies only.

And of course Pelosi would support her commie masters.

Right, isn’t the USSR in the process of ‘acquiring’ the Caspian or Aral sea...for its oil?

Anyone have the details on this?

Hey Putin, like Rammstein says, We’re all living in America...

We’re not their for the oil, we just needed to expand Coke and Disney’s empire. Both stocks have been kind of lagging since the 90’s, needed some expansion to grow the base.

All your base Putin, make your time.

Putin is only pandering to the Russian nationalist voters he’ll need in order to carry his party to victory at the polls next year and be named PM. Behind the scenes the Russians and the US government are cooperating on unprecedented scales combatting terrorism. But, don’t get me wrong, I do not consider Putin our friend, we’re only “friends” when he needs us.

Yeah, Putin wants to take over the Caspian Sea for its resources (like the Arctic), and he and Iran will supposedly share the oil benefits that comes out of it. Once Putin gets control of the gas lines, he can shut off access to countries like Poland or Ukraine who don’t like the Russkies. He’s warning the US not to put a military base in Azerbaijan, which of course is near the Caspian Sea, because he doesn’t want those pesky Americans getting in the way of his plots.

Read Ezekiel 38 - 39. Magog (Russia) is on the rise. ALSO, I encourage EVERYONE to read Ezekiel Option and Epicenter by Joel Rosenberg. This man is meeting with members on Capitol Hill, the Pentagon, the Mossad, etc. He knows what he is talking about. We are about to witness Bible prophecy be fulfilled, and Russia will play their part.

Yes, indeed...Vlad the terrible is providing cover for his power grab by playing the old "US imperialism" card. An old apparatchik can't resist the temptation to keep control, whilst fishing in troubled foreign waters.

Kasparov had better be very cautious; he's now playing the most challenging and dangerous game of his life.
