If you pull the numbers for the SoS office of the 2003 race you will see that Blanco still would have even if she had not gotten one vote in Orleans Parish.
Yea...interesting how Orleans Parish ain’t in North Louisiana. You read what I typed?
I don't know why we insist in still referring to them as democrats - they are card carrying members of DSA
Jindal went to school in Baton Rouge, where at age four he asked his parents to call him Bobby, after the youngest son on the television program "The Brady Bunch."
The AP author must've struggled with placement of that paragraph and given up. It has nothing to do with Gov. Jindal's accomplishments or his relatives celebrating.
Perhaps I'm just getting too cynical.
Yup. We’re the only country in the world whose right-wing party has been given a “red” label. Just defies all logic and reasoning. Canada’s Conservatives are all labelled “blue.” To be called a Red Tory is a slur to say you are a leftist running as a Conservative. Prior to 2000, a Red or Pink Republican meant the same thing.
That 80,000 Orleans parish vote difference also put her into office. Don’t just blame Acadia.
