Is it true that Rice-A-Roni was named after Ronnie Spector?

I thought it was Bony Maroney. Or maybe Francis, Connie?

Rice-a-Roni is probably the last decent thing to come from San Francisco.

Whenever I cook whole grain rice I drop in a little butter and salt. It was decades before my wife figured out why my rice tasted so much better than hers.

A public memorial has been scheduled for 4 p.m. on Oct. 25 at the Napa Valley Wine Train station, 1275 McKinstry St., Napa. I'm glad he enjoyed the Toy Train he didn't have when he was a kid...

“You *could* make up your own batch of Rice-A-Roni, using whatever butter substitute you like, such as diet Smart Balance or Fleischmanns Olive Oil blend; then your own rice and broken up spaghetti pieces.
Then use a salt-free MSG-free chicken broth or chicken bouillon cubes dissolved in boiling water, some dried onion flakes, parsley, and maybe some Mrs Dash for the herbs. Just cook it up the same way.”
Sounds good! Thanks for the tip.
