If I recall, Hamill’s house was spared during a previous fire storm. I seem to remember a clip of him showing how the flames had pretty much come right up to the property line. I agree with what you said about him and hope that his home is spared again.
In the fires of 93, I believe, he was on his roof with a hose until firemen made him leave. His yard got some damage, and houses on both sides burned, but he did a lot to protect his property.
Yes, he said in an interview that for a short time the firefighters were call out “Use the hose Luke!”.
