"[The soldiers] are the people standing between us and the terrorists; they are the thin red line protecting every decent, civilized person in the world from terror and we owe them a hell of a lot more than we're giving them!"
"When I first met my father-in-law, who's a two Silver Star winner in two wars, I said to him 'Why are you in the Army? Do you like war?' I was an IDIOT!"
Thompson/Stein 2008!
Except for that ‘support Al Franken’ thing he’s doing.
Yeah...when I heard that Ben was supporting Al financially, I lost all respect for him.
Good Bye, Ben.
Where have you heard this? Is the source reliable?
Same here. Bye Ben.
A social liberal whacko that supports Frankin. Yep, that’s what we need.
Yeah, what's THAT all about... can he be serious about wanting to see Franken in the Senate??
Didn’t Ben go wobbly on the war about a year ago and join the cut and run crowd? Has he changed or modified his position since then?
Ben Stein is cool.
(Hey Ben, send me some of your money)
Bueller?
Bueller?
Except for his views on taxes.
......no.
Your respect is a shallow loss for Ben Stein. He is a man of great substance, and I know that from an almost four decade friendship with him.
I had no idea Hillary had named her VP already! Ben Stein has NEVER been a conservative. He’s just another liberal. Oh...maybe he would be good material for the RINO Giuliani ticket. Nothing like NY/Hollywood. A SURE winner for the Republicans. /s
My problem with Stein is his ID movie.
Tell Ben I said hello........

Ben Stein is brilliant and a true renaissance man. I have a great deal of respect for him.
The attached link shows years of interesting contributions. He’d be a great Sec of Treasury or on the Council of Economic Advisors.
Here is his bio: http://www.benstein.com/bio.html
He worked for Nixon, who he will point out was the last Republican president to have a balanced budget.
I had no idea about the Al Franken donation; that really sucks.
I’m still impressed by his book, though, and the fact that he’s donating all of the money to fallen soldiers’ families.
