He also states that the Dems always follow the media front runner, yet the opposite is true. It is generally the Republicans that stick with their front runner. Whoever is in the lead in the early polls, generally holds on to that lead.

With the Dems (see Howard Dean) their early front runner rarely becomes the nominee.
