In all fairness, there were people discussing the very same thing here on FR prior to Y2K, when Bill Clinton was going to suspend the US Constitution.

If you think that is sad, don't go back and read threads on FR in 1999. People here were saying the same thing. Of course, most left after Bush was elected because we were "too Republican"
