I’m sorry, I couldn’t stop laughing after reading this.

Duncan Hunter isn’t going to win.

Mills gave up a hefty paycheck at Fox to join the Thompson campaign. He told friends he considered Thompson essential to the future of America. His firing outraged colleagues at Fox. Because Mills joined a campaign, his chances of being re-hired are diminished. He is still looking for a job.

And this is the tiniest violin playing "My heart is beating for you." Cry me a river. Another talking head is looking for a job.

Thompson is breathing down Rudys’ neck in most reputable polls. Who cares about a few staffing changes?

Case in point as to why people who support Fred, go into Duncan Hunter threads and bag on him. 1 percenters unite.

Thompson planned for them to quit. It's all part of an ingenious strategy.....

I guess when your candidate is lost in the ozone at 1% with no hope whatsoever, these trivial Fredbash feeding frenzies are all you got to make you happy. Its like the bush-haters jumping for joy over the latest Bush faux-pas, knowing full well that he will still be President the next day but getting off in the petty thrill of the moment.

Quite pathetic.

Do I really need to post more articles that show these same words and tactics being used against Ronald Reagan... used by the left and those in the Republican party that wanted to destroy him? No I did not think so... you already know.

These types of attacks will lead to Fred’s victory... because Reagan has shown the way... and Fred is the “real deal”!

“a former staffer said”

“said a former staffer”

“according to one former staffer”

“a former staffer said”

“a former staffer said”

“a former staffer said”

“the former staffer predicted”

This article is useless. The meat of the article that the headline is based on is from a couple of anonymous former staffers. This has no value and really makes we wonder about Newsmax nowadays. Doesn’t mean these statements were not made but an anonymous pair (or more) of former staffers does not a credible article make.

Campaigns almost always go through growing pains. Thompson started later so those growing pains are more obvious in this stage of the game. Yet it is better to accept your miscues (or the former staffers miscues) and get the team best suited for you profesionally and collegially (they spend ALOT of time together) than to try to keep up appearances.

This thread would be more entertaining if it wasn’t a slight update of THIS thread “http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1891652/posts “, posted on September 5, 2007. Some folks here are obsessed with ‘process’ campaign inside baseball.

J. T. Mastranadi, Thompson’s director of research, quit in horror after Thompson’s wife Jeri began taking attendance at campaign headquarters in McLean, Va., one late Friday afternoon. Jeri Thompson actually called staffers at home to ask where they were and why they should be paid.

Gosh, did they think that if they were being paid they didn't need to actually BE on the job?

Yawn...Just another diss article about Mr. Fred.

I'm sorry, but Thompson has lost just about every chance to gain my support and vote. He is, imo, the reluctant candidate. He does not seem to be serious enough about wanting the job of president. He is so ho-hum about campaigning. I think he should consider dropping out.

Sadly, there is no other Republican candidate to rally around. I wish someone else would enter the race to rally the troops.

The thing that jumps out at me about this hit piece is that it refers to several events in an attempt to portray a trend but does not give the dates of these events. It is a deliberately misleading piece.

FROM WAPO:
"Nelson Warfield, a media consultant who produced videos of Thompson's announcement speech and a biographical piece on his web site, said in an interview that he left the campaign last week over differences on the direction of the media effort. "I'll go back to the media consultant bullpen and see if I get called to go back in the game," he said.

NOT HARDLY "IN DISGUST"
