“As much as Bush claims to be a Christian, he hasn’t done much to help the cause.”

People here still don’t get it.

Bush is a politician, that is all he is and ever was.

He leveraged claims to be “Christian” and “Conservative” to become president so he could pursue his true passion: Big Government & Mexican migration.

Don’t ever put your faith in a politician, you’ll be dissappointed every time.

Absolutely agree. That's why I'm Conservative, I want less politicians and politicians with less power.

Dude, that is wisdom for the ages. The day I accepted that concept into my overall worldview it was as if an enormous weight was lifted off of me.

I'll take Bush's Christianity over Algore or Kerry's anyday. Bush isn't perfect, but to believe he has something to do with a bureaucrat's decision to remove God from a monument is silly. Many bureaucrats make bonehead decisions every day and don't phone the president for permission. I'm sure Bush would have nixed the idea had he known about it. He doesn't know everything, and can't know everything.

This is why our forefathers said we should prefer Christians for our leaders. If the system worked as it did for 150 years, you wouldn't have gotten past dog catcher without an acknowledgment of Christ. When your name came up for a raise, I'm sure a discussion of moral character was included. People today would say that's discrimination. Then, it was common sense. To be able to design a government monument was an honor, I'm sure, given to people with a knowledge of our founders intent.

To listen to the morons today, you would think Washington, Franklin, Adams, and Jefferson wanted Christians shot on sight.
