There have been plenty of previous events with similar outcomes. There is no excuse for Emory not to have been ready.
OUTSTANDING FReeper comments! BTTT!
They've resurrected the old "outside agitators" line.
Its such a shame, Zaim said. This is an academic environment. Were supposed to listen, especially if we disagree.Leftists do not believe anyone has a right to disagree with them.
It has to be frustrating to present material about the evils of fascism to a room full of fascists.I don't think it was a "room full of fascists". That's the sad part. A lot of students came to hear Horowitz speak his piece so they could judge for themselves. But the chicken-liver administration allowed the fascists to take control of the room.
And, I hate to say it, I think Horowitz missed an opportunity to highlight the fascism that was on display. Instead of attempting to continue his speech, he should have changed format and made repeated demands for the right to speak, interspersed with repeated statements to the effect that leftists do not believe in free speech, interspersed with repeated questions directly to the fascists: "don't I have a right to speak?"
Something like that. By changing the format, by being flexible, he could have changed it from a shut-down speech to a verbal triumph.
I googled it. The said the Carter Center was at Emory University. Am I wrong? Or are they an independent organization with no tie to Emory other than location?
It’s physically simply not at the same location. They’re about 5 miles apart (guessing).
Here; it’s 3 miles:

This is exactly what liberals do. Liberal politicians, Judges, Unions, ACLU,and the radical homosexuals, etc all want to force their views on us.
"he Carter Center is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1982 by former U.S. President Jimmy Carter and former First Lady Rosalynn Carter. It is located at 453 Freedom Parkway in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Atlanta-based Carter Center has helped to improve the quality of life for people in more than 70 countries. In partnership with Emory University, the Center is committed to advancing human rights and alleviating unnecessary human suffering."
Just want to remind anyone who missed this. . .what happened at 'Emory' this week. . .these students. . .are no different or better than, the most closed, bigoted and ridgid 'fundalmentalist' mind - of the most dangerous kind.
