ROME (AFP) - An ad campaign to counter discrimination against gays has stirred up passions in Italy, using a poster that shows a newborn with the word "homosexual" written on his wristband. ADVERTISEMENT
"Sexual orientation is not a choice," reads the slogan on the poster that was going up all across the central-northern Tuscany region and was published in national newspapers Wednesday.
"Using newborns to make people believe that homosexual impulses are an innate characteristic is dishonest and a disgrace," said Christian Democratic lawmaker Luca Volonte.
Gay philosopher Gianni Vattimo said the ad was in "bad taste" and that the slogan was "only partly true."
Italy's main gay rights association ArciGay, for its part, praised the initiative, saying homosexuality is an "unchangeable fact that should be respected."

If gayness is innate, how come it can be cured? How come there are ex-Homosexuals?

Agreed. IMO, with the macaque story as a solid 8, this one barely rates a 3 out of 10.

While I don’t necessarily think most gays are born that way, I have a feeling some are.
I grew up in a small town and as early as kindergarten there were two “sissies” in my class. Both liked to spin around on the playground pretending to be Linda Carter turning into Wonder Woman.
Of course, they are gay as adults. If they were not born that way, it had to have transpired VERY early. I suspect one was ruined by his grandmother. They lived near my grandmother and I would see him out in the yard with a dress on. Who would allow that?
Because if those factors are identified then modern medicine is one step closer to prevention or a cure.
Just imagine the battle royale that would start if it was found that embryonic stem cells could cure homosexuality. The proabortion left would be fighting with the gay rights left while the pro life right would be fighting with the antihomosexual right. And there's enough overlap between those groups that people would be fighting with themselves.
Same technique can be applied any aberrant behavior as an excuse for you-name-it. The homos in Rome once bought and sold little boys they called catamites. History repeats.
I wonder if too much estrogen or testosterone has anything to do with it. Is that why alot of Lesbians look like guys and gay dudes can look feminine?
Exactly what does a homosexual newborn look like and how is one supposed to identify his or her sexual proclivity at birth?
Does the photo show this newborn in an embrace with another newborn of the eame sex?
This gay activitists, besides being morally corrupt, also appear to be complete idiots!
If homosexuality is genetic then how come they havent breeded themselves out of existence?

If there was a test to determine if the fetus is a homosexual, that whole pro-choice gang would be demanding such abortions be outlawed.
