MINERAL -- Federal officials are urging public involvement once Dominion Virginia Power applies for a license to build a third reactor at its North Anna Power Station in Louisa County.
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission held a meeting in Mineral on Wednesday night to explain how it will review the application, expected next month.

Originally the site was to have 3 reactors, the bowl site was prepared back in the initial stages of the current reactors construction.
If they can control the EPA, they’ll get it done. If you turn over a rock, the EPA will take two years to approve it. At times, I think the EPA has hidden agendas.

No, it was supposed to have four reactors - two by Westinghouse and two by Babcock & Wilcox. The last two were cancelled back around Thanksgiving, 1982, resulting ultimately in my departure from B&W. The site does have two Westinghouse reactors.
Lucky they’re not in Kansas. Kansas would probably reject the application because the plant produces Greenhouse Gases. All that respiration by the plant operators, you know...
