As I recall, Carter was the original dufus. During his administration he put our intelligence agencies in the spotlight, eviscerated them, then whined because he had no assetts when it came to the hostage crisis.

That guy was an outright clown when it came to insight and leadership.

Clinton cut back the military unreasonably to balance the budgets, but I don’t remember him going after our intelligence agencies. Someone else may.

Remember Clinton cutting the number of government employees? That’s where the military was useful for him.

Clinton put Deutsch in charge of the CIA and deutsch made sure the real agents were put out of commission and replaced them with Sunday school teachers. Then deutsch downloaded all of his classified and secret material from his high security computer to his home unsecured computer. There went part of our intelligence. The he put a dame named gorlick in charge and she separated each intelligence group from another so they could not share the information they had. (I’ve also heard each intelligence group didn’t like sharing their information with one another) So without shared information between ALL of the groups, what do we have? Someone briefing our President every AM, with only part of a scenerio.
