My first choice is Hunter. My last choice is Hunter. No second best for me again. Devil take the hindmost.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Me too. I have felt that way since February 2007.I predict that the MSM, despite all of their efforts to render Duncan obscur, will fail to do so. GO DUNCAN HUNTER!

I love Jeri Thompson. She’s so...real. So human. Unlike the phony ice queens we are used to in First Ladies. She would be a refreshing change.

I have met Duncan. I like Duncan. He is a good man, but he is not a superior candidate, he is charismatically challenged. He is also hard of hearing. He does not have the money or organization to compete nationally. Sorry, leadership of the Free World has a very high price.

Only one man can do that: Duncan Hunter.
Hunter is a good man and a good conservative but I am baffled by the willingness of people to ignore the fact that he is not a vote-getter. He's been confined to a single congressional district his whole career. After all these months on the presidential trail, his numbers are going nowhere. How does anyone see him winning a national election? I would love a President Hunter. I would also love $5 a barrel oil. But then there's reality.

Is anybody reading *all* of this article? Or are we hung up on the "Jeri is trying to shove him into the White House" stuff?
Thompson supporters were shocked when Dan Hughes, the Tennessee senators enthusiastic front man in the key primary state of New Hampshire, switched sides last week and became vice-chairman of McCains state campaign. Against the advice of his staff, Thompson has barely bothered to show up in New Hampshire since launching his campaign on the Jay Leno television show last month, instead of appearing at a debate with the other Republican candidates in the state. Im not going to be the token chairman of a token campaign. I was told they were going to run a vigorous campaign and they havent, Hughes said. Fred Thompson would have been a good candidate but he doesnt want to go out and campaign.
Unless Hughes is a big fat liar and making this up out of whole cloth, this situation is a problem. People like Hughes are pros; they don't come out with statements like this unless there is something to support it. If McCain had simply offered him more money to switch, Hughes wouldn't have been bashing Fred on his way out the door. He is obviously disappointed in what he saw/experienced with the Thompson campaign. Not good, folks, not good at all.

I don't see anywhere in the article where it's stated that Ron Kessler even knows Jeri. Yet he feels qualified to comment on her role.
Ping!

Why are you two, and others, so fixated on the LCRs?
Are you one issue voters?

Thank you, jellybean. I didn't see that either.
I await all of the Fred bashers...though many are here already.

You can watch the Women's Conference
HERE. Go to the Lunch Session and skip the first hour. This author of this piece is using the old "Jeri is really running the campaign" canard based on nothing from the event.

I await all of the Fred bashers...though many are here already. This thread has the feeling of The Blue Hairs Every Other Saturday Get-together. Lots of gossip and rumor with a little inuendo thrown in for good measure.

“Blue hairs?”
LOLOLOL!
I could be a member of that group, but I disagree with them.
Fred is my guy...despite, the press he’s given.
Not to mention the flack he’s taking here...
...well repeated flack, too.
I haven’t seen anything original in a while.

No trashing, but you said you were going to attended another function to give him another chance, and you are still making comments that make me doubt your sincerity and you ability to do so with an untarnished perspective. I have even graver doubts seeing your Romney posts.
So no bash, just an interesting observation, one old political hack to another...

Hell, if I had a dollar for everyone who thought that there would be some massive “planet aligning” event when Fred entered.
Just shows how little people know about his campaign style from two successful Senate runs...

Come to think of it I KNOW you are a Mittwit.
Why don’t you do the honest thing and support your candidate?
You spend too much time trashing the others.

Funny that...
But he is a Fred supporter since he is giving Fred another unvarnished and unbiased shot...
