I post this mainly for the entertainment value of a liberal reporter getting his panties in a bunch about a candidate who dares point out the deeply flawed relationship the Clintons have and the poor example it set for the country. The righteous indignation that drips from every word of this article is just precious.

That headline is just begging for someone to shoot a gaping hole in his “clean livin’” brag.

Nowhere in the article did they give any evidence for this claim at the end: “Romney criticizes her, doing so.” (meaning that Romney criticized Hillary for keeping her marriage together).

In fact, Romney said the same think Huckabee did, that Bill Clinton debased the office and his marriage. Huckabee just said he doesn’t think that should be a factor in putting Hillary in the White house, while Romney clearly thinks having Bill back at the white house is a problem.

I can’t imagine Romney would ever fault Hillary for not divorcing Bill.

What I think is that no candidate is going to be perfectly aligned with any of our individual belief systems and all we can do is pick someone of high moral character. Shouldn’t be difficult, there are so few, and only one marriage is a clue, but not the end of the search by any means.

Either way, it's a lot of talk about personal stuff. What do you think?

Here we go AGAIN....the Klinton machine is squirming once again under the weight of their own Mortal Sins and peccadilloes....

The water carriers will gladly follow them both into Hell...

(Wolfson yesterday used the same line as a retort. "Hillary Clinton needs no lessons on character from a man who switches his positions on a daily basis.")

Ooh, that jibe by Mitt must have left a mark on ol' Creepella.

We need a LIST!

“Lessons on Character” Hillary DOES need:

Life starts at conception.
Personal responsibility is undermined by socialism.
Marriage is between one man and one woman.
America’s strength is ENHANCED by a strong foreign policy backed by a strong military.
The military is no place for social engineering.

You don’t understand the metric of the modern socialist state.

Previous socialist worked in a real environment of material shortages. Today, however, we live in a world of vast material surplus, such that even the poor can be as fat as a king. Thus the socialist now require human pathologies to remain in power as the “helper” to ‘poop’ in spirit.

So Clinton was actually working, and in DemThink, doing a good job, not as a poor model, but a good job as a model of what to do to be poor.

Mitt and the Republican party don’t get it.
They are reactionary in their approach.
This is to be expected as very few study socialism, it’s language, and themes.
Reagan new from coming from them, and fighting communist as head of the actors guild in the ‘40’s, a time of extreme penetration of the industry. Further Reagan had good fudemental training as a bradcaster and actor in the power of words and symbolism.
Mitt has no like education in this. He can play defense, but is untrained, and even though long lived in Massachusetts. In this case it might be said of Mitt that he has been well educated poorly. This is a typical fault of those who’s time and attention have been mainly economic and not political.

I am not defending him on that, it's indefensible. But they kept their marriage together.

Huckleberry, it depends on the REASON they kept it together. And we all know the reason is PURE, POLITICAL ADVANTAGE/POWER! That counts for ZERO!

I wonder how Mitt's moralizing about having only one spouse will go over with the millions (literally) of voters who have been divorced and who have remarried? Will they vote for someone who is so quick to point out that they have failed morally in his eyes and are unworthy for leadership?

I doubt it, but perhaps that's just me. I think he makes a huge tactical mistake saying this and continuing to harp on this issue.

We have sunk so far in this country that, for many, the phrase “clean-livin’” is a pejorative.

"Romney isn't the only one throwing stones -- in Missouri his wife, Ann, joked, "The biggest difference between Mitt Romney and the other candidates," is that the Mormon has "only had one wife."

Mrs. Romney stole my line. : )

"Romney added "you're gonna be under a microscope and at least during the time you're in the White House you ought to live by a high standard, because the world is looking at you, you're representing not only yourself but your country. And the kids of America are looking at you."

Exactly. People in high places must show good example!
