What I find ironic is that you keep seeing these public service ads that proclaim that breast-feeding your baby protects him against a lot of allergies, diseases, etc.

While I'm not one of those zealots from "La Leche League", I can say that Mrs. Wbill breastfed junior for a year, and it was almost 18 months before he got his 1st cold. The boy is healthy as a horse. Mrs. Wbill also liked breastfeeding because it melted off the pregnancy weight.

Just sayin'... What I saw, worked.

I’m not saying that breastfeeding isn’t good. What I meant was that you would think with everyone breastfeeding, that the incidences of these things would go down. I am not by any means an expert on any of this, but I would assume that if a mother can pass her immunities to her baby, she might also pass allergies, etc?

It really wasn’t so much a comment on breastfeeding, that’s just what got me thinking about it all. I read recently that cases of autism, allergies & asthma were up, when I heard the commercial saying that breastfeeding protects the baby from many of these things, I thought it was ironic that so many women are breastfeeding, but yet these things are occurring with such frequency.

Just an observation on my part.
