Actually - I’ve often thought some of this was a backlash against feminism. Feminism denigrates female beauty, the natural female desire for a male companion, etc. Thus, feminism is so anti-feminine, and anti-sexy that girls and women have been going to the opposite extreme as a backlash.
Feminism went to one extreme, so women and girls over-emphasize their femininity and their attractiveness to men. In turn, feminists get more pissy, and more extreme. This is why feminism is increasingly radical in an age where Girls Gone Wild is increasingly popular.
As for the youth ... kids always want to grow up too fast. The problem is when parents allow it to happen.

Suppose there were a militant pro-male organization equivalent to NOW, supported by the MSM, which was actively anti-female, and their message was that females were to be avoided, (whatever the given reason) and all males should support this message, and that this group purports to speak for and represent all males. I imagine most males, me for sure, would not hesitate to tell that group and their water carriers in the MSM to go straight to hell. To some extent, this is what may be happening with the females and the MSM is ignoring it. Are they saying in effect, "Pay attention to US, and not to the hags of NOW?" And because the MSM tends to ignore women not associated with NOW, they have to use a strong visual image to get their message across. Now, I'm not saying that this is what is happening, I am just posing it as a possibility.
