As have I. The Yankees could have won with Buck Showalter as manager instead of Torre. They could NOT have won without Paul O'Neill.
The old Joe (Torre) was a career loser (894 wins and 1,003 losses, a .471 average) before inheriting Buck Showalter's Yankees in 1996 and winning the World Series he had nothing to do with.
