Thanks for reminding where that came from. Actually Nietzsche is probably the most misunderstood philosopher of all time and had a lot of brilliant ideas. But many people think he was anti-God and anti-Christian which is completely wrong.

He was worried what would happen if people lost their faith, and that is why he believed Christianity was nihilistic in nature. He was looking for a deeper path to absolute values beyond the standard Christian belief system, but at the same time recognized the role of Christianity in enforcing those values.

His main problem with the Christians of that era was related to the creeping socialism that was accompanying it at the time, the idea that the meek would inherit the earth and all that Marxist crap that went with it. He was completely anti-nationalist and anti-socialist.

I am the only person here who's a little skeptical about this story?

A few days ago we were told that this was arson, and that the person or persons who did it clearly knew what they were doing.

Now, a few days later, we're being told whoops, it was actually a little kid who was out playing with matches in the forest? And of course since it's a kid, we'll of course never get to see him or find out his name.

Something stinks here in my book.

I won’t go into details, but I will say from experience that you should never, ever, ever pour gasoline on a large pile of leaves and light it...even when you think you’re being smart by using a really long stick.
