Yes, many times the NRA endorses liberal Dems who are likely to sell out gunowners when a real close vote comes up. That is the trouble with being a single issue conservative organization.
But...the NRA is the big boy in the 2nd Amendment field and they have fought some good fights for us. As for them just being a money raising organization using shrill voiced alarmist rhetoric that charge could much better be applied to GreenPeace and the Sierra Club.
Well, sometimes you just have to stand on principle. Which means I will not belong to any organization that supports pukes like Murtha. As I said up-thread, if the NRA supports Murtha again in ‘08 I will not renew my membership in ‘09. In the meantime, they’ll not get a nickel from me.
