WASHINGTON (AFP) - People in the United States see Iran as by far the greatest threat to world stability, with China a distant second, according to a Gallup poll released Wednesday. ADVERTISEMENT
With tensions rising between Washington and Tehran amid comments from US leaders that Iran risks being attacked over its alleged nuclear weapons program, more Americans also said they backed tighter sanctions on the Iran regime than were opposed.
But a large majority said they don't know enough about the situation to give an opinion about sanctions.

Iran IS the greatest threat to world stability. Y’know, threatening to nuke entire nations off the map kinda has that effect.
What do you mean by shocking (I can’t watch now) and why do you believe we are “powerless”. Isn’t that just a tad defeatist?
That video has serious implications. If all Iranians train like that.... I shudder to think.....
you have to see the video
Sorry, there is no training available for a 30K# MOP.
You mean they need more drivers’ ed?
probably the least of their problems
It is the SUV’s fault. Iran filed suit against Ford today in Federal Court in DC. Saying Firestone tires and Ford trucks are faulty and not suited to the use intended.
ROTFLMAO!! That video is hilarious!!! The flag of the USA and the sword.......what a hoot!!!! I am laughing so hard I can hardly type.........pretty ragtag if you ask me. And that “military music” I thought musical instruments were against the rules of the muhammed........
If they all train like that we don’t even have to go to war, just let them train themselves to death.
LOL I know...I’ve watched it several times since I first saw it and it never fails to crack me up. The first time I saw it I nearly died of laughter.
omg...referencing to send to my entire email list.
Iran’s army makes Saddam’s republican guard look like the U.S. Marines.
The world has seen it all before. Many historians who have analyzed religio-fascism using the tools bequeathed to us by men such as Winston Churchill, have been warning the public since the first Islamofascist incident of the modern era in Germany.
We softy Americans were shocked by the rigorous physical training exhibited by the forces of totalitarianism in Japan, Germany, China and other places. We think initially that they are "supermen" and that they are "undefeatable." Liberals cower at the thought of having to fight them. As a nation we have fought them in the past, and have been victorious because of inductrial might and a dedication to the individual human spirit of freedom.
Now we must fight them again, and the sooner the better, to get them while they are weak, and before the Axis they intend among their nations has crystalized.
We know the cost, we have paid it over and over.
We would not have to pay that cost, the butchers bill, if it had not been for the likes of JOhn F. Kennedy, Jimmy Carter and BJ CLinton. These men will go down in history as the men who weakened America internationally. They encouraged the evolution of Islamofascism by their Utopian vision for the world. It was a premature vision, remiss in its ideology, and foolish in its peace corps fundamental liberalism.
We should have nipped these little animals we must now fight in the bud, using all of our resources as the Israelis have done. nstead we passed laws against the assasinatoin of foreign heads of states, even if the thrteatened US citizens abraod , and murdered them.
So now, again we must fight them, and defeat them utterly. The King of Saudi Arabia has it quite right when he accused the British liberals of failing in the fight against Islamofascism, for his nation prospers only if there is peace in the Islamic world, and he knows that the peaceful era is now at an end in the world and within his own nation where Shia fascists , led by a dozen cadres of Mullahs like Muqtada al Sadr, go about their bloody , insane business. They all should be hunted down and killed by the CIA, as they would have been prior to J. F. K.
Now we are in it, like it or not, and the sooner we move militarily on these miserable fascists, the sooner we can return to a stable world, which has individual human dignity as its lodestone.
We are in for a wild ride, like it or not. Yes totalitarian training of the Iranian forces is frightening, but it needs to be put into the proper perspective of history.
While I understand your drift...nothing anybody's got looks like the U.S. Marines!
