Its the 1970s all over again. A bad, expensive war. Wildly expensive new programs, such as Bushs pills-for-seniors scheme and No Child Left Unbrainwashed program. Record spending and deficits.
No gold standard.
And inflation, inflation, inflation.
Oil just set a new record of $96 a barrel. Gold is at a new record high. Cant anybody see the connection between the two. Its gold thats the determining factor, not oil or anything else. Its the U.S. dollar thats being inflated in comparison to gold, which is the only real money.
Bush, ever the dunce, has no idea whats going on. He trusts Bernanke, the FEd boss, as he trusted Greenspan before him. Yet these men are inflationists ironically, doing their inflating under the guise of fighting inflation!
But its easy to spot inflation: When gold goes up, the dollar goes down. Thats the definition of inflation: the dollar loses its value.
Only one presidential candidate is talking about returning to the gold standard: Ron Paul. Thats just one reason why we must rally to his cause.
Only Ron Paul can stop this inflationary monster. Only Ron Paul even understands whats going on.

In the beginning, Ron Paul created the Constitution and the earth. And he saw that it was Consitutional. And therein laid the flawed underpinnings of the world that have plagued us ever since.

That should do it. Of course, they will need to raise money for such luxuries.

It doesn't help Paul supporters when they find he was reading Larry the Cable Guy instead of Alexander Hamilton.
Well, it does have Constitution in the title.

Most families do not care about core inflation. It is energy prices and food that typically blows the family budget.

I find it hard to believe Ron Paul understands what’s going on when its obvious this guy has no clue.
The Fed is causing inflation under the guise of fighting inflation? What the hell is this supposed to mean? And now is like the 70s because we aren’t on the gold standard? OK, but I guess that means its like the 80s and 90s too.
The rise in oil prices has very little to do with the value of our dollar, and has lots to do with increased demand from China and turmoil in the Middle East. This guy should take a course in basic economics before posting his “insights” on the web for all to see.

but that’s not necessarily monetary. there are supply problems that affect the price. for example, the ethanol craze is putting pressure on corn supplies

You're right. BUT, our monetary policy is not what drives inflation in these areas. It's worldwide demand and energy policy that do. That's why its excluded from "core" CPI. The Fed needs to act based on movements in prices that are impacted by its decisions.
