I'm pretty sure the name of the homosexual club at Calhoun HS in Merrick, LI is called World of Difference. When I look at the list of clubs, this is the only one that fit the bill. Unless they don't want to publish online what I have seen posted in the school & been told is in the school.

"Student run organization that strives to promote acceptance, understanding and kindness among students at Calhoun. The club organizes various activities from after school events to in school educational programs to fundraisers with the hope of making Calhoun a place where all students can feel welcome, confident and free of bias and discrimination."

I just stood incredulous as a guidance counselor told me after the Freshman class parent meeting how hard it was to get kids to join. Duh!

I have seen the play.

It is really dumb. In the performance I saw, all the actors were homosexual, women and men. It is full of stupid feel-good cliches and sobbing sentimentality and lies.

The preacher/minister is your standarb Bible-thumping southerner. Up there Wyoming of course you are going to have a preacher with a southern accent.

It infuriates me that a high school is sponsoring this play. It is outrageous. When is this going to end?

But I think a previous poster is correct -— as long as the state will baby - sit their kids while they go to work they will put up with anything.
