I almost feel sorry for the pirates that tried to take that North Korean ship earlier in the week. Almost

Carnival Cruise Lines is totally missing a great money making opportunity. I for one would pay double for the chance to repel pirates.

These pirates probably aren’t wearing mascara and eye liner.
To: steel_resolve
Very possible with delivery by submarine right under the pirates hull.

I wonder how the Royal Navy would have handled this in the days of wooden ships and iron men?

Good idea!
If the pirates don't kill him and he survives the SEAL raid, send him to The Hague.

I dont think we’ll be sending our boys in to save some random nationals anytime soon. This isn’t Rambo...
To: rightwingintelligentsia
No negotiations. Either they release the ship and crew, or they die.

Send the seals on board with night vision when the Somalis are sleeping or very tired.

Repel pirates off the Romantic Horn of Africa! Great sales pitch. Give the passengers plastic cutlasses and funny hats and have some ex-seals in the crew with more appropriate armament then go for a cruise past Dar Es Salaam.
