The Hague - Another Dutch soldier has been killed in the Afghan province of Uruzgan. Corporal Ronald Groen, who was 21 years old, was on patrol in an armoured vehicle that hit an improvised explosive device in the road. Two other soldiers were injured in the blast but are said to be in a stable condition.
The Dutch contingent is currently involved in an operation to drive the Taliban from the area around Chora. Corporal Groen is the twelfth Dutch soldier to be killed while serving on the NATO-led ISAF mission in Afghanistan.
