DEFEAT THE DEMOCRATS!!!<<

Didn’t we do that in the last two presidential races? Am I supposed to trust ANY politician? I honestly have been beyond shock with what this administration has continued to do to our country (and allowed) - especially in this past term.

Bush II has been a mixed bag. Many of his good ideas have not become law. He has pushed hard for litigation control, permanent tax cuts, entitlement reform, revised environment regulations, health care reform, and sensible energy policy (except ethanol mandates). He has been bad on immigration and campaign finance reform. He has not exerted leadership on farm subsidies and spending (until his last two years).

Bush was a much better alternative than his rat opponents. If the enduring conflict in Iraq had not occurred, I think that Republicans would still be in control. It is always a choice of alternatives. The rats are worse on almost every issue. As bad as Bush’s ideas on immigration are, the rats have much worse plans in store.

I am not sure what you are outraged about. Bush has finally found his veto pen and stopped many bad ideas.

Yorkie, I too "have been beyond shock with what this administration has continued to do to our country".

The Bush Administration has spent more of our money than any President since Lyndon Johnson! Bush increased entitlements and refused to enforce U.S. immigration laws, halt illegal immigration, or close the U.S. Borders.

The Republican Congress and Administration gave Congress to the Democrats on a silver platter in 2006 completely because of their foolish, unnecessary, inexcusable, and politically suicidal policies.

I too am beyond shock and am utterly disillusioned with the Bush Administration.

However--if the Democrats should seize power in 2008, they will be FAR WORSE!

As Businessprofessor wisely expressed it in his post #54:

"The rats will permanently alter the landscape in judges, immigration, energy policy, taxes, entitlements, health care, litigation, racial preferences, unions, and defense."

He's right.

We must prevent this with every fiber of our being. We owe it to our nation, to our fathers and mothers, to ourselves, to the world, and--most of all--to our children.

We can not allow the Democrats to destroy the United States. And--if they can--they will.
