I’ll tell you where ICE is? Right in the middle of all the corruption here. This town has gone to pots and big business, law enforcement, ICE, GBI, FBI and so on has allowed it. The word “corruption” in the dictionary should have Dalton GA as the meaning. We residents have screamed to everyone we know of and noone and I mean noone will listen. Money talks in this town at the taxpayer’s expense. Our schools systems have suffered, as well as quality of life with gangs, drive-bys, grafitti, murders, etc. We even have an ICE Agent here and his sole duty is to keep out the INS. God help us all because noone else will help us. The only thing going for us right now is Bobby Lee Cook’s RICO lawsuit against Mohawk Industries. This may be the only thing that saves us now.
Your story reminds me of what went on in the 1950s. Eisenhower had to replace or transfer a lot of the corrupt INS agents around the border who refused to enforce the law. We need someone who will do the same thing after 2008 and from what I see only Hunter, Tancredo, and possibly Thompson will do that. The rest of them I really believe we'll only get the status quo.
