HE DOG ATE MY AFTER-ACTION REPORT:
Excuses are like eyebrows — everyone's got some hairy ones that they can raise; so I won't bore you with why this report is late. It's for the Friday before last, 10/28. Another report will be up later this week from BillF for last Friday. 11/02. None last week, but you'll have two Walter Reed pings this week.

DC Chapter mega-ping.

National readership ping! Sorry it's late, folks. Did you miss us?

Since there was no ping during last week, you'll have two this week — BillF's report for this past Friday will be posted later this week.

FReepmail me to be added to / deleted from this (usually) once-weekly ping list.

I will be flying in from California to join all of you on November 30th.

I so can’t wait to participate in the Support the Troops rally at WR with the DC Freepers. It will be a huge honor to stand against the moonbats with all of you.

At this point I am going to fly in on Wednesday so that I will have two days to tour DC prior to my conference. I have asked the Fresno Freepers if they have anything that they would like to donate to those at Walter Reed or Besthesda. I will be willing to bring it with me.

I’ll never forget (or forgive) the guy that told me before the first gathering of Eagles (GOE1) that the Walter Reed freep (#100) was canceled because of the weather.

I so wanted to be there just once.

You active Freeper members are really the greatest amoung Americans. You give without receiving back, other then the good feeling of contributing to a worth while cause.

That’s the best way I’ve yet found to end the week. I think I’m becoming a Walter Reed addict. haha.

Much love.

It is my understanding that the rain in Spain falls mainly on \/\/ayne. That being said, what a great FReep! Way to stand up for the troops and America! God bless you, DC Chapter and may God heal the wounded at Walter Reed.

Speaking of the wounded, a friend of our church, Dave Roever, has finished his Eagle Summit Ranch for severely wounded troops. We are very excited about this project and our church has contributed and kept up with it's progress. Dave looks kind of strange because, as a Brown Navy River Rat in Vietnam, he was holding a phosphorus grenade when a bullet hit it and blew him up.

Days later, when they opened him up for some more surgery, he burst into flame again. Talk about a preacher on fire! Dave is a really great guy who works tirelessly on behalf of serving military and veterans, even if his ear falls off sometimes when he's preaching. He has been to Iraq many times.
