Mondale, a former U.S. senator from Minnesota, was vice president from 1977 to 1981 under President Carter [who lost in a landslide in 1980 - 489-49 electoral]. He was the Democratic nominee for president in 1984, but lost to Ronald Reagan in the general election [also a landslide - 525-13] Fixed it .....

"....and I hope Senator Clinton gets twice as many electoral votes as I did!"

Great to see all the winning candidates who have endorsed her.
These Dems have lost so many elections with their weak, anti-war, Leftist candidates, one would thing they would have learned a lesson.

Actually, I'm kinda hoping for a Clinton - Mondale ticket.
Then we can all roll with one of the best campaign slogans of all time:
Vote for Wally and the Beaver.

For six months now, I've been worrying about whether there was any defect sufficient in Hillary and her campaign to bring her down. There were plenty of factors which SHOULD have that effect, but were there any that WOULD bring her down?
Now comes the endorsement from Walter Mondale. A friend of mine was head of Opposition Research when Ronald Reagan ran against Mondale. On the cover of their briefing book, she used a quote from another friend of mine, Gene McCarthy. It was:
"Walter Mondale has the soul of a Vice President."
Of course, in Hillary's case, she has the soul of Lady Macbeth.

Vote for Wally and the Beaver.
And if they had run against "W" and Cheney, their slogan could have been:
"Defeat Bush and Dick, vote for Wally and the Beaver"

Remember when AlGore endorsed Howard Dean? Helped Kerry
Remember when Dr Dean flew to have church with Jummuh “counting on” an endorsement, and Jummuh forgot, and thanked him for coming to church. LOL

I'm surprised you fellow Freepers haven't picked up on this yet, but wasn't
Wally's daughter Eleanor one of Bubba's conquests?
And if so, can it not be argued that Wally is trying to do to America what
the Slickster did to one of his children?
