I have to say that any poll that consistently puts John Mccain in the mid to high teens is suspect in the extreme.
One would suspect that the respondents were screened to include only working age men at home between the hours of 10AM to 2PM on weekdays.
Maybe they poll nursing homes.
“I have to say that any poll that consistently puts John Mccain in the mid to high teens is suspect in the extreme.”
I don’t think so. He and Rootie have the highest name recognition of the Republican candidates. There are plenty of people who are Republicans and either don’t follow the election this far out. They support the name they know.
What is nearly as important as national numbers are the numbers for states with early primaries.
“A new Washington Post-ABC News poll finds ..... the weakest national support for a Republican front-runner this late in a presidential race since 1979.”
Seems to me that election ended pretty well.
