This wasn’t the delusional, thumbsucking pacifist that I was thinking of but it does fit the bill.
To: picard
Unless, maybe you are trying to goad them into a reaction to prove you wrong.

It does seem that lately the glaring eyes have turned their sights elsewhere...to Pakistan.

I’ll be praying though that it does not! Also that the AQ does not make a come back.

Ain’t that a thought! But I do not think I will hold my breath for that one to happen. :-)

IMO, there’s a lot of in-fighting within Islam. Perhaps they will defeat some of their own factions.

Greetings picard,
You asked,
“Statements like this if true are true and will be apparent. Why broadcast it?”
One of my thoughts when I first read this article that perhaps it might be in part some type of psychological warfare?
dunno!

That is a problem. If it seems like a group like the AQ are defeated in one area, we might find them getting stronger in other area. Have to keep praying.

Al Qaeda in Iraq is defeated,
‘Statements like this always come back to bite you in the ass.’
Yep.
Japan was defeated....at Guadalcanal, Tarawa, Iwo Jima, Okinawa. The war didn’t end as a result of them, as we all know.
Germany was defeated in North Africa, Sicily, Normandy, Southern France. The war didn’t end as we know.
The problem with liberals and waging a war is they desperately want to ‘win nice’ if they want to win at all.
Which is why we can’t let them regain control of the Whitehouse next year.

"I also liked his speeches on giving amnesty to the 30 million invaders into this country. The speech where he advocated for the Treaty of the Sea. How about his speech spending money like a drunken fool on further empowering the NEA. You know, when he kissed Ted Kennedy's ass etc etc etc. That man is a disaster." You have an overactive imagination and a honed sense of paranoia that remain uncompensated by your unsubstantiated bluster, but I feel your pain.
