I totally agree with you. We should all demand that everyone in Congress force this to the floor for a vote.

Wouldn’t that be delicious to watch?

The code pinkos would lose what’s left of their minds when the dims refused to impeach Cheney.

The moon bats need to form their own party and draft Kucinich and Paul to be their presidential ticket.

“The resolution introducing articles of impeachment against the vice president has 21 cosponsors, all of them Democrats”.

Biiiiig surprise. Why don’t the RATs stop kidding themselves and just name themselves the Dictator party...or, more fitting, the Facist Party. They don’t believe in anything democratic. If you challenge them, they put you down.

Kucinich insists that Vice President Cheney continues to violate the U.S. Constitution by insisting on the supremacy of the Executive Branch.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Since when is such a political position cause for articles of impeachment? Cheney is right, the President is supreme in certain areas, such as the military. That bothers the moonbats.

I mean here is what the constitution says:

Article II

Section 2. The President shall be commander in chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the militia of the several states, when called into the actual service of the United States; he may require the opinion, in writing, of the principal officer in each of the executive departments, upon any subject relating to the duties of their respective offices, and he shall have power to grant reprieves and pardons for offenses against the United States, except in cases of impeachment.

He shall have power, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, to make treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, shall appoint ambassadors, other public ministers and consuls, judges of the Supreme Court, and all other officers of the United States, whose appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by law: but the Congress may by law vest the appointment of such inferior officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the courts of law, or in the heads of departments.

The President shall have power to fill up all vacancies that may happen during the recess of the Senate, by granting commissions which shall expire at the end of their next session.

AND IMPEACHMENT HAS TO BE FOR ONE OF THESE GROUNDS BELOW, KUCHINOBITCH has no chance , even if the vote was supportive of his "special resolution." This is a last gasp from a campaign thats about to fold.

Grounds for impeachment, which saying the president is supreme on military matters does NOT constitute:

Section 4. The President, Vice President and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.

Treason ( No doesn't work, Cheny is not convicted of treason)

Bribery: ( No this is not about bribery)

High Crimes and Misdemeanors ( No, saying that the president is supreme in military matters is not a crime or a misdemeanor)

This is grandstanding politics, for a failed presidential candidate from the moonbat party.

Ba' Bye Dennis the menace. Long may you rot in the backwater from which you arose. Please disappear into ignominy.

Of course the kook base is savy enough to know that there are not enough votes in the Senate to convict. They will quickly figure out that this is nothing more than an empty gesture by the party leadership to cover up their inability to stop funding the war.

You're giving too much credit to "the kook base." They may know that Cheney would not be removed from office, but they would believe that a majority of the Senate would vote for conviction/removal. That way the Democrats could say that they did everything possible (within the law) to stop Darth Vader (a.k.a., Dick Chaney).

I hope there will be a vote in the House. That way the nation can be reminded that the Democrats are wackos. On behalf of Conservatives, and all those who despise the would be Queen, I thank you Dennis for your assistance.

Here’s what apparently happened on the conference call:

Kucinich to Move Impeachment of Bush After Cheney
By David Swanson

Congressman Dennis Kucinich said on a conference call Monday evening that after moving to impeach Vice President Cheney on Tuesday he will also introduce, at a future date, a resolution to impeach President Bush. Or rather, he would have said that on the conference call if not for several technical SNAFUs.

The call was advertised as a one-way call on which only Kucinich could speak, but Kucinich was unable to get through because of the incredible number of people on the call (I have no count yet, but the dings of the new people coming on were a steady stream of noise for half an hour).

So Kucinich phoned me, and I held one of my phones up to another so that everyone on the call could hear him. That was working fine for about 20 seconds, until the geniuses running the call chose that moment to mute everyone except Dennis (without stopping to realize that by muting me they were muting Dennis). So, Kucinich gave a nice speech through my phones, but I was the only one listening.

The poster then goes on to describe the details he, and only he, heard the Great DK say, and ends with:

This was terrific to hear. I wish I had not been the only one to hear it.

Martian interference, maybe? Is it possible that the universe is against Dennis?

The House is currently voting on whether to table the Impeachment Resolution. If the Motion To Table is passed, the Impeachment Resolution dies.

UPDATE:

The House voted on a Motion To Table the Impeachment Resolution. That motion failed by a vote of 162 for the Motion, 251 against it. That means the Impeachment Resolution lives. The House is now voting on whether the Impeachment resolution should be referred to the House Judiciary Committee.

UPDATE:

The House voted 218-194 to refer the Impeachment Resolution to the House Judiciary Committee. Dennis wanted the Impeachment Resolution to be voted on the House floor today.
