Following are excerpts from an interview with Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Salam Al-Zuba'i.
Salam Al-Zuba'i: Our relations with Iran are very sensitive, and they are detrimental to the Iraqis in general, because, unfortunately, the Iranian involvement in Iraq… Iran is behind everything that is going on in Iraq, and I say this with sorrow and regret.
The Iranian involvement in Iraq is by now beyond any doubt. This involvement has become clear, well-documented, and on all levels. This involvement harmed the Iraqis. It killed Iraqis. Unfortunately, Iran's involvement in Iraq is yet another wound afflicting the Iraqis, and yet more blood shed by the Iraqis. I say with all sorrow and regret that whoever cooperates with the Iranians sentences himself to death, politically.
We must admit that Iran is causing us great damage. It has gone too far, and has tried to turn Iraq into a war zone. At the same time, we condemn [Sunnis] who behave like Iran, and send us terrorists over the other borders.

I have been saying this for a long time. Solve the strategic problem in Iran, solve the tactical problem in Iraq.
Wasn’t it Frank Rich of the nyt saying that this was not so. It was proven by newsweek. Bwahahahahahaha.
Maliki and the shia clique ought to be getting a little nervous about this, if this sunni is of any consequence.
