Wouldn’t count either of these two out just yet, though McCain’s chances seem to not be getting the boost they should. Regardless of which candidate for the Republican nomination eventually emerges as the favorite at the Republican National Convention (and it may come down to a floor fight), always consider the alternative.
That is where the fire must be concentrated for a “must-win”.
McCain is dead meat. Keating 5, against conservatism, questionable on immigration, too old, a loose cannon, not in touch with mainstream America, media darling, etc.
