He said Congress also needs to approve an agreement with South Korea in the interest of U.S. companies and workers.

“champions of false populism”

Bush can invoke religion to get his America-busting bills through, and he can employ snooty elite-liberal epithets too! What a diverse guy...

Of course, in order to believe your comment one needs to believe that Hugo Chavez, or those two yobs in Bolivia and Ecuador, are not populists.

My point is about the word “populist.”

It is a word, intoned generally as an epithet, to those who challenge bipartisan elite opinion.

Free Trade goood...freee trade gooood repeat mantra, repeat mantra...

Columbia is having a tough time with NarcoCommies, they have made some serious efforts to fight the Chavez backed FARC, and even cracked down on the rightist paramilitaries that defend villages against FARC, Liberals should love letting people die while sticking by disarmament regimes....

it means that columbia will have an economy that’s not based on coca production. It also means that latin americans won’t be charmed by Hugo’s populist appeal if they are financially secure.
