NEW YORK -- Federal investigators have arrested the chief operating officer of the National Children's Museum on child pornography charges, authorities said.

Museum executive Robert Singer, 49, allegedly sent 18 pictures of child pornography to an undercover NYPD detective posing as both a 33-year-old mother and 12-year-old daughter after the two met on an Internet chat room, investigators said.

Unlax dood. I'm nominally Christian but non-denominational. Let me tell you this: We are in the Pre Judeo-Christian era. The fog you see is the reformation of religion. It will be back bigger, stronger and more coherent than ever.

You could take every Christian alive today and march them into the sea and you still could not stop what is coming. It will look a bit different but if you back off and examine it, it will be a truer, more spiritual Christianity. Look backward 2000 years and then look forward, the shape is the same. It is what we have struggled 2000 years for. If every Christian were to disappear today, tomorrow someone would find a Bible in an abandoned dresser drawer and it would start again. Christianity is the same no matter how many, or how few, adherents it has.

Examine history. The seaports, Lisbon, Amsterdam, Liverpool and a hundred others had perversions unimaginable by today's standards. Was it 25% or 50% of pre-Victorian British children who were prostitutes, I disremember. The notion in South Africa that sex with a virgin would cure Aids came from where? Victorian England, where it was thought it would cure STD's. The murder rate in the nascent United States was equal to the murder rate among Blacks now, not on the frontier but in the cities.

Religion is what it is and it ain't what it ain't. There is no future imaginable that does not have Christianity as its base.

I beg to differ, there are lots of such futures, imagined in a variety of places, and by various authors or screenwriters: 1984, Brave New World, The Camp of the Saints, The Giver, Bladerunner, Ghost in the Shell, . . . Not to mention the visions of the future the Salafists Sunnis we're fighting now and the Ta’ajili Shi'ites we're likely to have to fight soon have.

Take your pick of the fictional visions. I don't know which the reign of Antichrist will resemble most for those who don't accept martyrdom, though if I had to bet I'd take Ghost in the Shell.

The faces of children? Our Lord told us to become as little children, for such will inherit the Kingdom. If the faces of the adults had the same innocent glow, I would have confidence that the days of Antichrist are far off. Alas, the only adults I have met with that same innocent joy and full use of their mental faculties are Archbishop JOB of Chicago, and one or two Orthodox monastics, though my own bishop and an old retired priest I know come close.
