Read the text about the hildebeast losing 3 points against ALL Republicans over the last month. Everyone is a comedian.

THERE IS NEVER ANYTHING GOOD ABOUT LOSING!

There are also diminishing returns on winning with RINO's. When we have GOP congress people that consistently stand in the way of GOP objectives, we are at the point where the returns aren't worth it.

Semi Rino Bush gave us two very good SCOTUS Justices. King Rino Specter got them out of committee... you know... those things you control when the Republicans are in the majority! I hate Rinos as much as you do... but some compromise is always in the cards. No, I ain’t talkin’ ‘bout rootie. He is a line one should never cross. No way!

I’m afraid this may be correct. No VA is almost literally turning into Berserkely as it is filled with bureaucrats and Beltway Bandits all suckling at the teat of the welfare state. (And don’t forget that even the “official” estimates have the population of criminal alien invaders in the region at 800,000.)

Personally what I see is that as an area becomes more populous a correlated growth in government dependence and the attendant leftward shift occurs. Think about it; for decades virtually every city in the nation is in a downward spiral by every measure, yet the electorate keeps choosing the same trotskyite leadership. Never once do they stop to think, “Hey, this city is in the toilet and we’ve had Democrat mayors and city councils for fifty years. Whattaya say we try somethin’ different.” Ain’t gonna happen until we abolish government-run schools.

I wonder at times if ideological and intellectual conservatives such as us Freepers are as out of touch with the country as a whole as are commielibs in government and media. We are correct in our philosophical views, but I’ve got the sneaking suspicion that an ever-increasing plurality of the populace wants the Central Planners to simply take all their cares away, even if the cost is freedom, prosperity, and well-being. Anyone who hasn’t read PJ O’Rourke’s “Parliament of Whores” would be well-advised to do so, especially the chapter about inner city pathologies.

In short, I do not see conservatives/GOP winning “in play states” like PA, OH, FL, VA in ‘08. While it is certainly not what I want, I must consider the possibility that an overwhelming majority of Americans want to live in a collectivist nirvana. We know it cannot exist, but it won’t stop them from voting that way.

Yes I have my retreat in the Virginia mountains, but it won’t take the hoards long to find us once Atlas Shrugs.

There has been a serious migration from the north into VA. NOVA is like Massachusetts.

Bingo.

Plenty of folks moving to Northern Virginia from further north, and even the more conservative of these folks would willingly vote for RINOs.

“Hate to say it but I think you nailed it. If we lose the election, at least we can look forward. If we keep electing RINO’s, we are destined to a miserable end”

That’s what I said after BJ was elected the first time. “This will settle once and for all the “liberal” question. Well, here we are again. Only one thing matters the most right now:

It’s the Judges stupid.

I think her people make up these polls and just put out info that’s not true. They just say there is a poll and everyone believes it. How can her numbers go up after that debate-it’s just not logical. They think if they say it enough people will believe it.

It is very easy to be pessimistic....in all and every aspect of life (including politics and elecitons).

Reality is, when the GOP stands firm and articulates our positions on big issues...along with not being shy or guilty about showing the DEMs for who they really are.....We win.

Reality is there hasn't been a DEM candidate in almost 30 years to get 50% of the vote in a national election. There has only been 2 in the last 60 years (if I'm remembering correctly).

The GOP/RNC must start to funnel resources (legally) to GOP supporting 527 groups. We must take the fight to the DEMs all during the year (really take the fight to the MSM). Engage the public all year long on important and timely issues.

When the public is informed, we win. Just like in 00, 02 & 04. We lost in 06 because our base was demoralized over a few domestic issues. Not because the DEMs gained.

It’s not exactly the case that Fairfax is filling up with bureaucrats ~ it’s always been populated mostly by government employees and lawyers.

“Virginia Turning Blue Before 2008 U.S. Election”

I’m not shocked.
When a state is home to “The Wahhabi Corridor” (see link below) and
elected a Democrat like Jim Webb to the US Senate...things obviously have
taken a turn for the worse.

I find that very difficult to believe, but my state of VA did elect Jim Webb.

Jim Webb is a fascist. He attracted mind-numbed Democrats and the otherwise non-voting, quiescent Ku Klux Klan contingent ~

You'll see him advocating the burning of Jews some day.

In Virginia polls are not all that reliable. The east coast votes entirely different than the western part. You call it east of the blue-ridge and west of the blue-ridge. You have all of those liberal government workers in the north eastern area.

Government workers vote much more conservatively than you might imagine. For example, they will invariably throw out any local Washington area Congresscritter who stupidly votes to balance the federal budget on their paychecks.

The "move ins" have been mostly folks employed by private companies, and they consist mostly of economic and social refugees from the Northeast.

At this rate, HRC will win as many electoral votes as LBJ did.

It may be too that VA voters are ashamed of having twice repudiated B.C. and they want to embrace HRC to show their penance.
